What I’m Watching on Sunday

I didn’t get a chance to write this weekly post last week.  I was at a wedding in New York’s wine country, spending most of my weekend lounging on a dock jutting out into beautiful Keuka Lake.

At this point in the season I’m 3-0 for gambling advice, and I don’t plan to miss any more weeks.  Here we go.

Tampa Bay @ Denver (-3) — At first glance, the spread looks too low, right?  Jay Cutler is playing like the best quarterback in the NFL, they are at home, and Tampa is perpetually mediocre.  The problem here is that smart gamblers see that Griese and the Bucs offense should be able to put up points against a terrible, terrible Broncos defense.

It won’t matter.  Denver is going to put up 30+ in this game.  The Bucs may be capable of putting up 25 points, but not any more.  Expect a couple of key mistakes from Griese.  Take the Broncos.

Cincinnatti @ Dallas (-17) — This is way, way, way too much for any NFL team.

Since the season started, NFL teams favored by more than 10 points are 0-3 against the spread.  This is something you should take advantage of as a gambler.
